Apocalypse Soon?
I'm starting to wonder if maybe the gods are angry with us silly humans and are trying to send us a message.
We've got four hurricanes in six weeks down in Florida, which is really starting to make some people go nuts. In fact, in an interview, God said that the hurricanes are punishment for the election debacle.
Then there is the recent eruption from Mount St. Helens.
There have also been a number of earthquakes in central & southern California, the biggest being a magnitude 6.0 north of Paso Robles. It was even felt as far north as San Francisco, as I mentioned the other day
(the big squares are magnitudes 6 and 5.2)
As if that's not enough, we've got lava flowing from Mt. Etna in Italy, and an entire generation of seabirds in Scotland that have failed to breed.
I would say that the gods must be crazy, but given the current state of human affairs in the world, what with the mess in Israel, the quagmire in Iraq, genocide in Africa, and nuclear threats in Iran and North Korea it's obvious that humans are the ones who are nuts. Chances are increasingly good that humans are going to go the way of the dodo. The only question is whether it will be at the hands of a natural disaster or our own self-made apocalypse.
I'm thinking the outcome of our Nov. 2 election is definitely going to play a roll in whether we speed up or slow down our impending extinction.
