Milan is an adventure

Let me start by saying that I never lose things. I'm very very good at making sure important things of mine (and even unimportant things) remain organized and accounted for. In my entire life I can only recall losing one umbrella and a pair of sunglasses. And I know exactly how and where I lost each. I left the umbrella under my seat in 2nd period class in high school, and when I went back for it 45 minutes later, it was gone. The sunglasses were lost under the bar in SF whose name I can't remember, except I see the bar perfectly in my mind.

That being said, here's a little recap of Milano so far:
  • Totally traded walnuts for gold, at the photography tradeshow. We did this by:
    1. scoring 16 meters of free carpet from my new friend Corrado
    2. upgrading our booth space from the ass end of the pavilion to right next to Canon
    3. getting stuff built for about 1/3 to 1/4 of the cost of the original price quote.
  • Made friends with Fabio, who as far as I can tell is the benevolent dictator of this place, and who acts like he owns it all. He's taken quite a liking to us and the fact that we're from San Francisco, and has been treating us kindly
  • Lost my credit card, called the credit card company to get it canceled as soon as I found out, and discovered someone had already bought $650 worth of Prada, and had tried to buy all kinds of other things around Milan.
I'm kind of annoyed by the lost credit card, because like I said before, I almost never lose anything anywhere. I'm so good about keeping tabs on my stuff that this frustrates me. Of course, thanks to fraud protection and the fact that there was a limited amount of time to use the card, I shouldn't owe anything.

That's all the news that's fit to print at the moment, but I'll keep y'all posted if anything changes.

Ciao!
