What were we thinking?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that the only purpose that the 1980's served was to provide costume themes and a music playlist for ironic, mocking parties in the decades to follow. As evidence, I submit the following videos: Jason Alexander pimps the McDLT Before he was famous for his role as George Costanza in Seinfeld, Jason Alexander apparently did a little soft shoe and advertised burgers for McDonalds. I'm not sure what the most incredible part of this video is - the amount of hair "George" had back then compared to now; the fact that he dances, weaves, shucks and jives; or the ridiculous outfits everyone is wearing. Also, the styrofoam container that keeps the "hot parts hot" and the "cold parts cold" is quite a flashback. 80's Chevy Cavalier: Live It! I can't believe this commercial was actually conceived, filmed, edited, shown to the Chevy execs, and then approved to be aired on national television. I mean, seriously. This is supposed to sell cars? Holy crap. My favorite quote: the Chevy has "an interior that comforts your very soul". Yes, and this commercial chills it.
