Booked

I went to the dentist on Wednesday for a routine cleaning, and afterward I talked to the receptionist to schedule another cleaning in 6 months. She said, "How does 2:15 on October 11 work for you?" To which I replied, "Oh no, sorry. I'm booked from 1:17 to 4:23pm that day. Do you have anything at 5am?" Thankfully she got the joke. It's strange for me to make plans for a very specific time and day 6 months in advance. I don't even plan 6 weeks in advance most of the time. I'd like to meet the person who actually has to consult their calendar when scheduling these dentist appointments. Unless you're a banquet hall used for weddings or the French Laundry, why wouldn't you be free 6 months from now? In any case, I'm now booked for a dentist appointment in the afternoon of October 11, 2005. So if you need me for any reason, please be sure to amend your schedule accordingly.
