Spy vs. Spy
Have you ever noticed that when someone hangs up the phone abruptly in a movie, the person on the other end instantly gets a dial tone? The only thing is, if you hang up on someone in real life, it takes a long time (like 20-30 seconds maybe) for the dial tone to actually come on. First you just get a lot of silence (in which real life people usually say things like "hello? hello? can you hear me? are you still there? hello? did you fall in?", etc.) I tested this out once when I was a kid, because I saw it in a movie a long time ago and it registered with me that the dial tone thing had never happened to me when a call dropped or I was hung up on.
The reason I bring this up is because my parents and I watched The Bourne Supremacy tonight, and the dial tone thing happened at least once in the movie. I think it happens at least once in every spy movie ever made. Also, there is always at least one hot woman involved in every spy movie. I don't think this is realistic, either. For one, an über-hott woman could probably make more money modeling or marrying a sugar daddy than she could as a spy (without the whole threat-of-dying aspect), and for another, a hottie spy isn't exactly inconspicuous. I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that most spies probably expend a whole lot of energy trying not to be noticed. And some leggy bombshell with a "come hither" look and enough cleavage to make the Grand Canyon blush is probably not going to just blend in. Plus, running in stilettos has got to be a bitch, although you could use them as weapons, so you'd have that going for you. Then again, with your other...um..."assets", you'd be rather disarming to begin with.
