seeing the light

so the other day ABC's morning show was covering a live eye operation on some woman who was legally blind and couldn't see anything more than 3 inches from her face (and even then it was blurry). They said that after the operation she'd have 20-20 vision in one eye (the other was beyond repair), and would finally be able to see her husband for the first time. ...after which she'll realize how ugly her husband is and question how the hell she ever could have been married to him. Then ABC will create a reality show called "Seeing the Light", or "I Can't Believe I Married An Ugly Dude", in which she divorces her current husband, and finds a much cuter guy now that she can see again.
